How about a birthday party rundown?

Good. 'Cuz you are getting one! ;)
I invited all of our friends that I could think to invite and I'm sure I still left some people out. SO SORRY! I then stressed b/c I didn't know just how many would actually come. I mean I STRESSED! My face broke out like I was 15 yrs old again! Seriously it made me stress out more. Why does it do that??? I'm already stressed, why break out and make me stress about THAT!?!?! GRRRRRR!!! Enough about that... let's get to the party!
Friday, my aunt and uncle from Austin drove up. We did a little shopping and a lot of eating. Saturday, my aunt from FL flew in. We were getting things together when at noon the doorbell rang. At first I panicked thinking someone was early, the party wasn't scheduled until 3pm. But it was MY DAD!!! HOLY COW!!! He surprised us all. No one knew he was coming. He flew here from NY on Friday just for the party! It was a short visit he was flying out again VERY early on Sunday morning, but he came and that was super nice of him to make that effort. Three O'clock arrived and OH MY! my house started to fill up really fast! For me, the party was a whirlwind. There were so many people there (46 that I counted) and I was trying to make sure my dad was taken care of, trying to make sure we didn't run low on food or drink, and keep an eye on The Girl. Eventually we opened gifts and had cupcakes*. Next thing I knew the house was empty and we were cleaning up! I've created a slide show of pictures for you.
I didn't get emotional, I was too busy to get emotional. :D I can't believe it has been a year already, I'm loving every day that she learns a little more. She gets more fun and her own little personality is showing more and more. She's gonna be a firecracker I can tell you that right now! :D Anyway, if I think of anything more... I'll add it later!

*Originally I wanted a rubber duckie themed party, but as I shopped I noticed that everything that I picked up was blue, white, and/or yellow... it started to look like I was having a baby shower for a little boy. I changed course, and went with a pink and green color scheme, but I'd already ordered the cupcakes with the blue icing (to look like water) and the ducks were already bought so.... there ya have it!

Let me just say that I'm really in the move to clean and organize. PHEW! I feel better. Just had to get that off my chest!
