Had a great evening w/ the girls~

I had such a blast with my friends in St. Louis tonight. We went to dinner, at PF Chang’s and then walked around some stores and then had dessert at The Cheesecake Factory. When will I learn that I am not a dessert person??? I like the simple stuff, a bowl/cone of ice cream, apple pie, a couple of cookies. But nooooo I had to order this monster: (and yes, that is my finger in the way of the flash! [rolls eyes] I'm still learning my camera. but I DO LOVE it!)



Holy cow! And to make matters worse in my honest opinion it wasn’t even good! UGH! I hate wasting money like that on food! I was just caught up in the moment w/ all the girls. Wanna know what’s really funny??? Before we had dessert we were in Crate & Barrell… and I bought a food scale for my diet! :ROTFL:
I really had a great time!!! Thanks, Reba for getting that all together! You are the best!!! :-)

ETA: I don't know what the heck the problem is, but all those words in the post and previous posts that are in BOLD are also SUPPOSED to be in a different color. 'Blog'-casting from St. Louis

Here I am in good Ole St. Louie again. I'm hanging this week w/ the family that I used to Nanny for, the new girl (well she's been here for almost a year now... but she's leaving so they've gotta find someone new again) is on vacation so they flew me up for the next week or so.... Should be fun! I'm so tired to day and I really shouldn't be... I had good sleep last night despite being alone in the bed. I miss C so bad and my puppies too! C said that Duke was soooo happy for 'someone' to come home last night. Wish it had been me!
So, I had my 3rd interview on Monday and I left there thinking that I had totally bagged that job, but I still haven't heard anything yet. I called the HR manager on Tuesday but haven't heard from her, I won't call today but I'll probably call again on Thursday.
The house deal fell through and we are very bummed about it. So...... anyone want to invest in some property in IL???
Sorry I've been a bad blogger lately... I just don't have a whole lot to say... for once! :-)

I'm so nervous!

I have a job interview today. I think I really want this job. The company sounds amazing. So far the job description is all stuff that I can handle. It seems that C and I would be able to carpool, so that is way cool!
I'm still trying to figure out my camera... I already want new lenses... of course!
I actually started this post on Monday so the above is from Monday....
I'll finish the rest of the post today:
I am officially a resident of Texas as of today. We finally registered my car w/ TX plates and in TX you can't get a TX drivers license until your vehicle is registered so once we did the car thing... I went to the Dept of Public Service to get my drivers license. So long story short.... LOTS of money was deducted from our account today! :-(
On a better note, we may have a contract on our house in IL by tomorrow!!! WHOOO HOOOO! It's a long story that I'll share another day.
I also got a phone call late this afternoon from the where I interviewed on Monday and they set up a 3rd interview w/ the board and the VP for Monday morning at 10:15. They knew I was going out of town on Tuesday and they wanted me in there before I went out of town. YAY!!! I'm so happy! I hope that I get it. It sounds like a great job and I know the company is great already.
So pray saints pray!!! Lots going on in our household this week!

Well, this was my first time participating in this challenge and it was not really a 'normal' day for me! I hope I did this right... so here goes!

Texas is hot!

See? I told you that I would be posting about Texas heat waaaaaay back in one of my first blog entries! Anyway, interview went well today they said they'd call me by Friday and if they didn't call me that I should call them. Then when I got home there was a message on my machine from another staffing co. So, I'll make that phone call and see where we go from there.
I am in *LOVE* with my new camera. I love the way it takes pics, I love that there is hardly a delay between pics, I love the clarity of the pics and I can't wait to get a lens with more zoom and have a real occasion to use my camera. I'm sure the dogs are getting tired of seeing the flash. It's probably not good for their eyes I'm sure b/c when C took a picture of me the other night I was seeing white spots for an hour!!! Man! That thing is BRIGHT!!! So here are a few snapshots of the doggers. I can't upload all of them today b/c I'm still participating in my 12-12 challenge and there is still a lot of day left to photograph!

On another note, I've got a job interview tomorrow at 10am. I'm excited and nervous. My biggest worry really is that I have this previous commitment that will have me out of town for a week at the end of July beginning of August. I'm hoping that they will understand and work with me on that. Other than that, I'm just playing around w/ my new camera. Trying to get some shots of Josie for my aunt. She wants ones of her doing something other than sleeping! lol That should be fun!

Man, I am so excited!

YAY! My new camera came today. Just in time for a new challenge that I signed up for called 12-12. On Wednesday I will be taking random photos through out the day w/ my new REBEL XT !!! At the end of the day, I will post 12 pics that basically represent a normal day in my life.
I'm still looking for a job. It's really hard trying to get back into a field that I have been out of for 7 years. The funny thing is, I'm probably more proficient on the computer now than I was 7 years ago!
I'll post pics w/ my camera tomorrow! I'm off to learn about my camera!

Well, it's ME! C bought me a new camera yesterday!! WHOO HOO! A digital Canon Rebel XT It should be here on Monday! I'm so stinking excited!!!! I've been tracking it's progress on the UPS website. :) Gosh! Monday can't get here soon enough! And I NEVER look forward to Mondays!!!

Don't you hate it when you get back from vacation and find out that you have to get a plumber b/c the guest bathroom tub leaked so badly that your ceiling is peeling?!?!?!?
UGH!!! Thankfully the guy didn't think that it was a big problem but he said to use the tub still so that we can find out if he really fixed it but if it is still leaking he is going to have to cut a hole in my ceiling!! OH NO!!!! What a pain in the tuckas!

C is officially addicted to vacations now. LOL Last night he was so down after church and he said he just wants to be independantly wealthy so that he can just up and go on vacation whenever he wants. He had such a good time and I am sooooo glad! Our next vacation will be in to Florida in January so he really should get a kick out of that too!

Sammy is coming today! YAY! I'll tell you all about our visit later.

I'm baaaaaaack!!!! Did ya miss me???

PHEW!!! What a trip! We packed as much as we could in every day! I'm exhaused but it's a good exhaustion, ya know? It rained on the day that we chose to go to Boston so those pics are crappy but we at least had a great time together exploring the city and being w/ each other.





I had such a good time in Rockport again... my favorite part was watching C enjoy being on vacation. I could tell he was having a good time. He so needed this. Probably even more than I did! I'm pretty bummed that we didn't get good pics together. The aunts couldn't operate the camera that well. Maybe they got better ones on their camera.
We met up with some of my SJ scrapping friends for dinner in Boston; it was sooooooooo great to see them again! While on LI, I got to meet up w/ another SJ friend... again so great to see her! Can't wait to see them all again!!!
I got to see my niece and nephew again... oh man are they cute! I want them to move here to be w/ me!
On the 4th, C and I were so exhausted that we just hung out at the house and watched movies. Then at 9pm we jumped in the truck and drove to a park where the town was doing fireworks. We got the best seat in the house. The only problem of being spontaneous.... we didn't bring any cameras. We didn't bring drinks, chairs, or snacks. We just sat in the back of the pick up and enjoyed the show. It was so great! A perfect ending to a wonderful vacation!
Well, I guess I need to get back to reality and unpack and do laundry and look for a job. Thankfully I don't have to clean the house... the girl is coming today to take care of that! I'm telling you that is the best birthday present EVER!
