Yikes! This is gonna be WAY random!

OH! C took the nerd test today, FINALLY! and he's a "HIGH-NERD" with a score of 89.... I just knew that it was going to be something like that. The scarey thing is my nerd test says that I "DESPISE NERDS". Well, UH OH! I married one!
Well, we leave in the morning and I've been on the computer playing around pretty much all day. I did do a lo that I will post here, and I've also been working on my 100 things about me list. Hopefully when I get back from vacation, I'll have that done for you guys. Did you ever have a puppy? My little pup is so cute I could just sit and watch her antics all day long!! I'm gonna miss my doggers while I'm gone. I hate that while on vacation I won't have access to update the ole blog. Well, maybe at one point. We'll see. Sorry to leave you w/ a stale blog and all but, well, I SO NEED this vacation! I went to the Post Office today... there was a huge line and one of the checkers just ups and closes his window. I'm like what the heck!?!??! He couldn't help out and try and get the line down? Then the 2 women behind me are speaking in another language quite loudly, (which I find to be rude, but anyway...) and the one woman is standing closer to me than my husband does!!!! What is the deal with that??? I wanted to ask her if she ever heard of personal space. OY! So, my last day of work was yesterday and I don't have any prospects yet... and yes, I'm getting nervous about that. I'm really gonna hit the job search hard when I get back. And yes, C and I are still on for dieting when we get back from vacation too. Guess I should start packing! :-0

The countdown begins!

On Saturday we leave for VACATION!!! WHOOO HOOOO!
WOW! This weekend just flew by. I hate when that happens, cause then I don't feel like I got anything done. I didn't even do laundry! I spent my Sat am running all around town it was so crazy. We took Duke to this vet we heard about that does vaccines for half price on Sat am, well it's a walk-in type place. We got there at 9:20am they told us an hour wait, well Josie had an appointment at the groomers for 10am 2 towns away and across the lake, so C and Duke waited at the vet's office and Josie and I went to the groomers, by the time I got her there it was 10:10am and she had puked in her travel kennel. The groomers were awesome about it and even offered to clean out the kennel. (way to go PetSmart!) I left Josie and drove to the PO to mail off some stuff and then met up w/ C and Duke. Finally 2.5 hours after arrival, we got to see the vet. Then we took Duke to a do it yourself dog wash, (he did soooo good!) and then we went to pick up Josie and then finally headed home at 1:30. PHEW!!! I was pooped! 4.5 hours of driving and waiting is totally my limit!
I may or may not be able to update when I am on vacation. Sorry but you may have to deal w/ a stale blog for a few days. I'll do what I can! I'm looking for good blog topics and challenges. I will post when I find some good ones!

Ok, I need to spice my posts up a bit.

Man! In real life I never thought I was that boring, but I just read through some of my posts and well S N O R E!!! GOSH!
I learned a few new tricks last night well, one actually, so now you will be slammed w/ pics from the web. :-)
I'm also looking for some smiles so you don't have to suffer w/ these homemade ones... so far I've checked 4 sites and I don't like them... so I'm on the prowl for nice smiles and "emoticons".
I'm seriously hoping that you like the music.... this song there's just something about it that always puts me in a good mood. Ya know there are some times when you are just so NOT in the mood for some songs... well for me this is not one of those. It just makes you want to move and have fun. Really it makes me miss my last car. It was more 'cool' than the one that I have now, I mean I LOVE my car but sometimes it feels a bit 'soccor mom-ish' and not exactly cool. C says it's a preacher car.... and I fear that he may be right. oh well.
Um has anyone else noticed that the last 3 paragraphs have started with "I"??? Yikes, sounds conceited. I guess since this is my blog, I'm supposed/allowed to talk about myself.
OH! Job update! I gave my last day... and put my resume out there on the web.... I found a job search site and there is one that I really have my eyes on.... so pray with me will ya?? Thanks!
I am SOOOOO in the scrapbooking mood right now it's not funny and what's really not funny is that today is usually a day off for me and here I sit.... So tomorrow I plan on pumping out a few things. I'm really looking forward to scrapping all day! WHOOO HOOOO! Raise your hand if you are jealous! or just leave a comment. ;-)
We are leaving for NY/MA in 9 days!!! So looking forward to this trip! You can bet I will have a TON of pics for you when I get back!!!

PHEW!!

So blogger is up (for now)... I didn't realize how attached to these things I was/am.

The Yankees lost to the Sox tonight but at least they won 2 out of 3.

I spend WAY TOO MUCH time on the computer during the day just farting around doing nothing. Checking SJ's message boards and IMing w/ people. I love it but it REALLY cuts into my scrap time. I'd love a work from home type job. Maybe typing for someone or something... I don't know anything that keeps me on the computer and at home would make me happy. Maybe I'll get C to look into that for me when we get back.

I really don't have a lot to say so today I'm just going to leave you with a few pics.

3 favorite inventions

It's been challenged to name your 3 favorite inventions right now...
well, besides the obvious running water, electricity, and the wheel I think I'll name my favorite 3 from the last 50 yrs.
1. Wireless internet access... how cool is it to sit in your favorite coffee shop or fav chair in your house/yard and browse the internet or chat w/ friends??? Seriously that's a good thing!
2. Cell phones!!! When I was w/out mine it felt as if my right arm was missing too. I love the secure feeling of being able to contact anyone from just about anywhere!
3. Automatic coffee makers. I love waking up and stumbling downstairs to freshly brewed coffee waiting for me. All I have to do is remember to set it up the night before! I don't know if I could handle having to make it on the stovetop. I know this, I probably wouldn't be as addicted if I did!

So, I haven't really done anything about getting a new job yet. I really need to get moving on that though. For a few reasons, one being that I don't want to take advantage of them saying we'll pay you till you get a job.

Seriously it is hot AND humid in Texas and I DON'T like it. I hate that I feel almost trapped in the house. Saturday night we went to a bbq, it was 95 degrees out but not humid so really it was ok, like you could sweat and get relief. We even played volleyball. 6 games of it I believe. It was really fun. I hadn't played volleyball in YEARS! and the last time I did I was probably 60 pounds lighter. We played in the sand and this was my first time doing that... totally hated it. It's really a different game in the sand. You can hardly move. I thought that on Sunday morning I would be soooo sore, but I was actually fine. No pains at all. So at least I'm not getting that old yet.

I've decided that when C and I get back from our vacation we are getting serious about losing weight. We keep talking about it but neither one of us is doing anything. Well, now we are. I'm getting rid of the junk in the house and we are going to use our ab lounger thing and do the walking videos and WATCH WHAT WE EAT!! We both do so much mindless eating it's crazy. oh and at restaurants we are so sharing. The portions are plenty for 2 people. Besides, we will save money that way too. I'm going to be realistic in my goal. I want to lose 10% of my body weight by Labor day. Totally doable if I stay on track. I'd love to be at my goal by January, but I know that will be hard w/ the holidays and plataeus. We will be going to a wedding in FL in Jan and celebrating our 10th anniversary (a month early) while we are there. I so wish there was a weight watchers meeting near me. I did pretty good on WW. Guess I'll keep you posted on this. Feel free to leave encouraging comments for me! ;)

It's time for me to search for a new job. The one I have now is ending, now the question is, what do I want to do with myself. I'm thinking some kind of office job again. I liked the office job I had last time I just didn't like the guy I worked for. As long as I can access SJ once in a while and use instant messenger I don't think that I will go insane. I meant to pick up a newspaper yesterday and I forgot. I guess I'll look online today. That's all I can think of right now... I'm sure more will come up later!

ENVY – What brings out the green-eyed monster of jealousy in you? Because I never really had a dad in my life... I get jealous of people that have a great relationship w/ their own dad.

SLOTH – What’s your idea of relaxation? Curled up in a chair inside on a cold, rainy day or outside on a nice spring day (NO BUGS!) with a GREAT book. Oh and I love just floating on water, in a boat or on a raft in a pool.

LUST – Who do you lust after? Hmmm really, I don't know. C really lights my fire.

GREED – What was your last budget blow out on? I bought some new rubons and embellishments at my LSS (local scrapbook store) recently.

Alright, now that that is out of the way...
I found some more things that I want to do w/ my blog and C is home tonight so hopefully we can play some.... I know he said he needs to balance the checkbook so that means he'll at least be in the computer room... it's a step in the right direction anyway.

So I got this cut on my toe. It was hurting so badly yesterday that I made a dr appointment. (that's HUGE for me!) and turns out it got infected. Now I have a cream and an antibiotic that I have to take. Two things I hate, 1: taking medicine and 2: touching my feet! EW! YUCK!

So the different colors on my posts is the most exciting thing for me right now.

OH! I mailed off 2 more RAK's today and I hope to do another tomorrow.

We are going to a BBQ on Sat and I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to play some volleyball. I haven't played in ages! It ought to be fun. I just hope that it isn't too hot out. I don't know what they are predicting for Sat yet.
