Some days I think I'm crazy.

I have been jobless since the end of June. (oh I heard from the company... 'the board decided they needed to go in a different direction' but 'we'd like to keep your info b/c we feel that you fit w/ the company'... oh well. I guess it wasn't meant for me.
Now that I've been sitting at home for almost 8 weeks or whatever the number is... I feel like I'm going insane. SOOOOO the genius that I am, I offered to volunteer at the school that our church runs. Today, I get to teach the elementary kids PE. I will also teach the high school boys cooking once a month and the elementary kids cooking and something else oh AND if I can once I learn some photography skills, I will do a 6 week elective for the HS. I need to go take that class at wolf camera. I really could get into that.
The way my two dogs tussle you would never know that Duke weighs 30 pounds more than Josie. She is totally PSYCHO! She is way too rough. I just had to separate them.
I wish the weather would break here. We need to get below 100 and we desparately need rain. I mean a serious week long douse of rain. This drought is like almost of biblical proportions. It has also caused our foundation to shift which means more $$$$ out of our pockets for repairs. OY OY OY! Last night C said he didn't want to be a grown up anymore, he wants someone else to pay the bills. Another reason why I wish the weather would break is b/c I want to go outside and take pics w/ my camera. I'd really like some of the lake. I just wish it were fuller.
Church was GREAT last night. Totally cool how Pastor H had people get prayed for that were widows/widowers, and people who had lost someone in recent years. so AWESOME! I totally needed that. God knows.

one final thought... GO YANKEES!!! WHOO HOOO! They have totally slammed boston 4 games in a row!!!! I'm seriously praying that they sweep the series. Today is the last game. oh did I mention they are playing in boston!??!???!

Ya missed it! and it's all BLOGGERS fault!

OK Blogger is WAY TOO irritating sometimes. I’ve ignored posting b/c on Monday I wrote this huge long post about the weekend and how I totally pulled off a surprise party for C on Sat night. I was posting about how incredibly stressful the 2 hours that had lead up the party were and all the roadblocks that came up against me…. I went to change some of the words to color and ‘POOF’ the whole post disappeared. It was so incredibly frustrating that I refused to even go to my blog until now.
So, bottom line is: C was totally surprised. It was great. He must have said thank you to me a dozen times. I’m so excited that I could do this for him. He deserves it and totally needed it. I’ll post the pics of him coming in the door.

Now, on to more recent events: I’ve called about the job, left a voicemail and got no response. I have started submitting my resume to other job openings. In the meantime, I am going to see if I can volunteer at the school at the church. I’m just WAY too bored at home.

Josie’s surgery went great and she is scheduled to get her stitches out tomorrow. You’d never know she had them. She jumps around like a crazy mutt.

Since I was so stressed about preparing C’s party on Sat I TOTALLY forgot that it was the 12th so I missed the challenge for this month… I’m really bummed about that b/c a few days prior to it I was excited about it being on the day of the party so that I could take pics all day of the prep and what not…. Oh well, can’t cry over spilled milk.

I’m really hoping to go camping soon. I enjoy it; in a cabin anyway. I’m not one for tents and stuff. I like the cooking out part and hanging out outside in the dark and just being around the ‘outdoors’.

This post is gonna have to end. I need to go scrap a lo for a Circle Journal that I am in.

Take care! Catcha later, Gator!

It still hurts.

I miss my mom. It's been 2 1/2 years but it feels like last week. It totally breaks me up that I can't just pick up the phone and call her. I miss her soooooo much that it takes my breath away. Sometimes, I don't think about her all day and then I lay down to go to sleep at night and it hits me like a ton of bricks. Something just grips me in the middle of my chest and I can't breathe. I'm surprised my pillow isn't moldy from all the tears that it has absorbed. oh and apparently my husband is a deep sleeper. :rolling my eyes and sighing:

I'm here

BLESS GOD!! In all things, BLESS GOD!
I'm still waiting, I'm still wishing, I'm still praying, and I'm still blessing God.
I LOVED being back w/ my kiddos in my classroom tonight, although half of them were missing. We still had a good time. We celebrated how great they were this weekend sitting on the platform and singing during the kids crusade. I was so 'sanctified' proud as Pastor Davis would say.
This won't be a long post b/c it's late and my contacts desparately need to be taken out of my eys.
I have really had a hard time adjusting to this move. It was hard to move to Belleville, but that move was WAY easier than this move. I don't know what the deal is. I don't know if it has anything to do w/ the house in IL still being up for sale or what but it is so different. I totally miss my friends, I really haven't established any real friendships here yet. I mean the people are nice and wonderful and all but it seems that they are already in their little groove and there just isn't room for me. I remember feeling this way on a much smaller scale in Belleville, I felt like I didn't fit in b/c I didn't have kids. Now I don't know what is holding me back. It could just be me or maybe there really is something else there. Either way this move has been harder on me. Now C has been saying that this is NOT where we are going to retire (btw, that is VERY FAR INTO THE FUTURE) he says he can't live the rest of his life w/out snow and heck neither can I but this means that I will have to move again and do the whole friend seeking thing again. We are in the middle of a game right now that is very fun, we call it Terminator, C learned about it in the AirForce but they called it Assasins, so to make it somewhat more church friendly we changed the name to Terminator. Since I am acting in the role of Marshall I get all the phone calls and I am logging onto the Youth website and posting in the youth forum. So it is making me be more active in the youth and its fun. I love knowing who has who and what all is going on. Saturday there is a youth outing so I'm hoping for more 'kills', but C is inclined to call a truce. :-( that will be no fun for me!
Ok, gotta go the eyes are DONE!
Catch ya later!!!

warning: whiney post!

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself these days.
I hate that my stupid house in IL hasen't sold yet. I hate that I don't know if I've gotten the dumb job yet, I just called this morning and they are 'hoping to make a decision in the next week or so'. Well, COME ON PEOPLE!!! How long do they expect for a person to sit around and wait for a job!??!??!
C's birthday is Thursday. He will be 30. I wish there was more money floating around at our house b/c I would have really liked to do this up big... he deserves it.
Oh and our cordless phones just up and died yesterday including the answerer so now we have to go shopping for a new phone system. UGH UGH UGH!!!! That will take forever b/c I'm so picky as to how the phone actually feels in my hand.
Gas prices are going up again b/c BP had to shut down a corroding pipeline so we all have to pay for their carelessness. Well, guess who will never buy BP gas again! Yup, that would be ME!
I hate TX area codes, I never know when I have to dial a one or not.
OMGOSH! Something just now hit me as I was re reading my post. A few weeks ago, C did a 5 minute 'sermonette' on a Sunday night. He spoke about all the bad stuff that happened to Job and how 'Mrs. Job' said "just curse God and die." Well, C told us that the opposite of that must work. "Bless God and LIVE!" So.........
I praise You Lord, b/c I have a wonderful husband.
I praise You Lord, b/c I live in a country that allows me to worship my God in any way that I choose.
I praise You Lord, b/c I have good health.
I praise You Lord, b/c I have a roof over my head, food in my home, people that love and care for me, a wonderful, loving, giving, caring church family.
I praise You Lord, b/c You are my Savior, my Lord, my God, my Hope, my Shield, my Help, my FRIEND.
I'm choosing today to BLESS GOD and LIVE!!!!!!!
