finally, an update!

Being without a vehicle has really cramped my lifestyle. Thankfully, we got a rental on Friday. After what seemed like a billion phone calls between me and the other drivers insurance company, Thursday they accepted fault for the accident, had my car picked up for its repairs and assigned me a rental car. However, of course they want to keep as much of their money as possible so they only approved for a midsize car, well after having a pt cruiser for the weekend, I have a call into the insurance co again, they are going to have to upgade us. The car is just too small for a rear facing carseat in the back and anyone over 5'3" in the front. Plus the back tailgate doesn't go up unless you unlock it with the key and use your other hand to lift it. With an infant seat, a baby bag, a pocketbook and the occasional grocery bag, I don't always have an extra hand to open the gate with. Not surprisingly, I haven't heard back from them yet. The Friday after the accident, I had what we believe to have been an episode of vertigo; dizzy, room-spinning, vomiting... the whole works. I called my dr, but they referred me to another facility b/c they don't do car wreck stuff. (its a long story, I just don't feel like typing it all out) The ins co wants dr 'stuff' so that after 'therapy' (either meds or 'treatments') they can offer me a settlement. I totally wasn't expecting anything money from this, I'm really surprised actually, but I'm not gonna tell them 'oh, thanks, but I don't need any money from you!' Lovey still hasn't exhibited any signs of even having been in the accident, but I'm starting to wonder now if I should just take her in just so that its on paper somewhere that we went to a dr at least.

Lovey is still doing amazingly well. She's on such a great sleep schedule that totally fits in this house! She's discovered her voice, she babbles and squeals up a storm. She has just begun to realize that she has control over those 'things' (her feet) at the end of the carseat. She also has control over "Eddie", "Eddie" is an elephant that dangles from the handle of her carrier. When pulled down, he vibrates back up and she loves him! We used to have a lamb that did that and as it vibrated back up, it would also say baaaa; but somehow, somewhere he got lost. I think it was on our trip to NY. and yes, I'm way bummed about that.

On a totally random note: Here are a few things to make you say, "yeah, why is that????" (got this off the Internet, but I had to clean it up a bit)

~ People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where is yours?

~ When people say 'Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too'. You bet! What good is cake if you can't eat it?

~ When people say 'it's always the last place you look'. Of course it is. Why in the world would you keep looking after you've found it?

~ People who ask 'Can I ask you a question?'.... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?

~ When 'they' say something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn't be new.

Finally, this one is SO TRUE!!!
~ When people say 'life is short'. What??? Life is the longest thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?

Have a great day!

~Til next time...

well, technically, eternity is longer than life, but ... you didn't ask me when we were on the phone earlier ;)

that was so fun, and I'm sorry I had to let you go. The hospital was calling, and since they like to play phone tag, I thought I better catch them in the actual act of calling me if I wanted my questions to be answered. :)

Hey... you didn't give me the robe back! lol! Are you using it as is? LOL! Sorry that gave me a chuckle as I imagined that. And I think that life is short if we compare it to eternity! Plus, I tend to think about how there is just so much I want to do, and yet at the age of 35, that to-do list keeps getting longer even as I check off some things... life is too short to fit it all in! :)
