The post where I gift you with photos

of The Girl b/c her LI aunt is visiting her Upstate aunt and can actually view the blog! :BIG SMILE!:

This is from today:

and because I seriously LOVE her sneakers...

She LOVES to talk on the phone....

See what you can get from the internet Aunt V!!!! :)

Big girl bed!!!

Here it is!!! (Mostly) The room is still very cluttered with scrap supplies leaving me limited space to maneuver around in to get good shots so you'll just have to deal with what I've got! :)
Not pictured is the second set of sheets that I bought so that I can sew (yes, ME! sew!!) the top sheet into a curtain for the side of the bunk, right now we are improvising with one of my mom's favorite blankets. The girl has also inherited my mom's tempurpedic pillow (which I miss greatly!) IKEA was also short one mattress the day we went to pick up mattresses so next weekend we plan to rectify that empty top bunk problem. As of yet, The Girl hasn't slept in her new bed, mostly b/c I'm afraid she'll get into all my scrap stuff, but she sure does love playing in/on it! I have a babysitter lined up for Thursday so MAYBE I'll be able to take care of that then.
Oh and we haven't installed the rungs on the ladder so that she cannot get to the top bunk without us.

I know, I know...

I should blog now while I have the time b/c once The New Guy (and no, we don't know the gender we just refer to 'it' that way) gets here I won't have the time.

It is official. I hate Texas. In the month of November, my house A/C should NOT kick on!!! Fire ants are of the devil; both The Girl and I got a few bites yesterday. Maybe I should consider this good luck, b/c I also got bit by fire ants when I was pregnant with The Girl. My left foot is so swollen that I can only wear one pair of shoes right now and trust me, they do NOT go with everything. I had never even heard of fire ants until I moved to Texas!!

The Girl's vocabulary has literally exploded (in a good way). She also has gotten so good at going down for naps and bedtime that I fear we are being spoiled. She never really fought it before, but she wanted you to hang out in there until she fell asleep. Now she is quite content to say 'night-night, I love you' and read herself to sleep. :D

We have gotten started on making the scraproom/office a new bedroom for The Girl. Well, let me rephrase; C has brought the office desk and desktop computer downstairs to the front living room and moved some furniture around in there too. This weekend, I am slatted to get my scrap supplies out of there. C is going to take the girl on a few errands and to a music practice so that I will have a few hours to work uninterrupted. The Girl is being blessed with a new bunkbed and we are so terribly excited about it, I think I'm going to POP!

I think 3rd trimester tiredness has set in a little early. I thought being a diabetic during my last pregnancy was hard b/c I couldn't have ice cream in the summer... this time it stinks too b/c I'll have to watch my rolls/biscuits and mashed potato intake at all the holiday functions. :( I've started a list of foods that C is going to need to bring me at the hospital as soon as The New Guy is out. Last time my only request was m&m's which some awesome friends of mine took seriously and brought me a large bag of every flavor that existed (at the time). Gotta LOVE friends like that! :D

I think you have been thoroughly updated so I'll leave you with these pics of The Girl from yesterday....

She thinks she is the coolest thing ever with "2 bows". :D

Do not overreact

or pass out or make any kind of in your face type comment.
This is a blog post by yours truly.
Here's the lowdown:
I am still pregnant, The Girl still requires lots of attention (as do I), the dogs have taken to their annual fall activity... digging up the backyard and bringing into the house what seems like half of the yard in their paws, (they repeat this activity in the spring; I hate it then too) the hubs is still working full time, still in school full time, and is pretty much part time music director at church... oh yeah, and he's a full time daddy and hubby (no small task there either).
Recently I spent 10 days in NY to be with family at the time of my uncle's passing. The time with family was great, it usually is, but I felt torn knowing that C was at home still trying to work and take care of the girl, who seemed to get moodier as the days passed by without her mommy. Honestly the break was probably good for both of us. :)
I'd upload some new pix of The Girl but I can't seem to find my CF card adapter at the moment. Basically she's huge, 36" tall and 36 lbs. Officially, I'm not supposed to be lifting her but yeah, tell that to a 2 year old!

Okay, I don't know when I'll do this again so....

~til next time!
