Wanna know why you aren't seeing vacation pix here.... b/c I didn't take any!!!
Actually, that's not true, I took a few at the zoo, but that truly is it. I'm super sad and upset about it, but there isn't anything I can do about it now. The thing is when we went to Sea World we bought 2day passes and decided that we go today and look at the shows and stuff and then we'll know what to take pix of on the next day. Well, it got decided that we weren't going back this trip. It really is a loooong story that I won't get into here, if ya wanna know it, you'll have to call me. :D
The San Antonio zoo was The Girls first zoo experience and she was pretty amazed at it all. It was SUPER DUPER hot though and I think that really kinda kept her excitement down. Aunt D met us there and I think we all had a pretty good time, despite the heat.
Sea World was so amazing and I think I could watch the Shamu show 100 times and not get bored with it... of course watching The Girl watch it was pretty awesome too. :) She REALLY loves Shamu. Does the whole wave thing with her hands when you ask her about him too. TOTALLY CUTE!!!
At some point during our trip, I thought I pulled a muscle in my neck (come to find out it was really a pinched nerve) and I was really in a LOT of pain and quite honestly, since I pretty much live my life with a headache I think I can handle a bit of pain.... um this was close to sending me to the ER I was so uncomfortable. We found a mall with a massage place in it... where I paid a guy to "massage", no wait, VIOLENTLY BEAT ME for 20 minutes. It worked for about an hour but then I was pretty much back where I started. I couldn't do anything, couldn't look to the right at all and I couldn't even lift The Girl. It really put a damper on the rest of the vacation.
Friday was my birthday and C did the most amazing thing and gave to me an ipod touch. So amazingly cool, I'm totally in love with it. I also had a new phone waiting for me at home and at this point I was getting really antsy to get home and play! We got my new phone for $.01 AND on top of that we are getting a $50 rebate visa card! So in essence, I am being paid $49.99 for this new phone! WHOOOO HOOOOO!
Saturday we went to Six Flags and C, The Girl and I pretty much stayed in the lazy river in the water park all day b/c it was another SCORCHER! We did go do the kiddie pool thing and The Girl loved that. She LOVES slides and water so combine the two and she's a happy camper. I got about 3 inches of sunburn on my arms b/c I was wearing a shirt that had shorter sleeves than I normally wear, it looked pretty funny, now it's all browned up. I haven't been this tan in years though. I sure do miss it! The Girl has a bit of a farmers tan too even though we slathered her in sunscreen everyday. C got his typical red neck and face and more freckles on his arms!
OH!!! Speaking of C... his glasses have been close to broken for a while. He's had them for YEARS and really it was time for new ones, but we just never wanted to spend the money. You know how the saying goes: 'if it ain't broke'... well, they finally broke at Sea World. NOTHING could fix them. We tried. Even tried JBWeld, it still didn't hold. We got him new glasses yesterday. They are funky cool and I LOVE them. C is still getting used to them. I'll have to post a picture of him later.
The Girl is waking... so I've gotta go for now!

The good news is.... the bad news is...
ya know that email that gets passed around in the spring every year with this picture in it?

The good news is she was getting a pedicure.... the bad news is she was sitting next to me while it was being done! :GAG:
I went to a new place last night, they were offering 30% off salon services and I'm really not one to pass up a bargain. I went in, got seated, and after repeatedly telling the nail tech person that I didn't want color on my nails AT ALL, I whipped out my phone to play ZUMA to pass the time. I have a love hate relationship with pedicures. I HATE putting my feet in a spot where other naked feet have been and all that and I'm not too fond of a stranger (or anyone really) fondling my feet but I LOVE the look of my feet when all is said and done. The lotion massage isn't so bad either! ;) Soooooooooo, last night, I'm minding my own business when my tech asks me what kind of pedicure I'd like and hands me a 'menu', I read the differences in the 4 different choices and decided that the classic was really all I needed. I don't have white yucky ashyness (see above picture) on my feet so I didn't require 'extensive callus removal' or any thing like that, plus since I do have that 'hate' part of my relationship with pedicures, I like to be in and out of there as quickly as possible. I get back into my game when I begin to hear some conversation between the lady in the chair and her nail tech, at first I didn't pay attention but the lady was beginning to show some frustration in trying to convey to the nail tech her wants/needs. (that's another 'hate' aspect of my relationship with salon services: the language barrier) She was telling the tech that she had some 'dry skin' that needed to be addressed, the tech conferred w/ an associate and they determined that this woman's request would require an upgrade from the original pedicure she had chosen, so the woman agreed to the additional fee. From this point the tech pulled out the scraper/shaver thing and proceeded to shave the calluses from this woman's feet. OH MY WORD!!! The 'stuff' that was coming out of the back of that scraper/shaver thing.... I had to look away or I was going to lose my dinner on my own freshly groomed feet.
Oh and if you see me and I seemed SURPRISED... that would be due to the language barrier between myself and the salon tech... she took off a little more of my eyebrows than I had anticipated. :sigh:
