So....

I know this, but sometimes I forget.

I am a friend of God.

And that's enough for me!

okey dokey

Man, I've been such a bad blogger lately! I really would like to get better at this. I also would like to get back into my scrapbooking, I've really got the bug lately, and plenty of pictures to scrap, my problem is that I can't seem to scrap unless someone is in the room with me, so that means I have to wait for C to get home before I can do anything. Gonna have to whine to him more, I guess.
Speaking of whining, I've been whining that the girl hasn't rolled over... well, she finally did it!! Last Thursday, and C and I both got to see it! She went from her back to belly, she's a master of it now, but still hasn't quite figured how to get from her belly to her back yet. We got her a 'jolly-jumper' when we were in Austin, she really enjoys it. She's not quite 'jumping' yet, she just kinda hangs out in it, but if we do the 'jumping' for her, she LOVES it! She has also gotten increasingly better with eating off of the spoon. Today, she ate a whole 'bucket' of pears and didn't drop one bit! That is HUGE!!!
I've been going through the stuff in her closet, trying to do the weather change over thing, and I've come to a realization... I've gotta go shopping for the girl! Up until now, she has mostly worn gifts from my generous friends and family. I bought a few things, but we have been really blessed. She is growing like such a weed that nothing fits her. I made three piles last night, "keep" (it was either cute or it had sentimental value), "give away", and "sell". It's hard to get rid of her stuff, partly b/c I can't believe she is growing so quickly, and partly b/c in the back of my mind there is this thing that says 'what if...' (so not what I want to do but I never saw this coming either!) and a small part says 'but she only got to wear this once! and no one saw how cute she was in it!!!

Gotta get moving... I'll catch you later!

Bummer.

I had a dream last night that felt so real, but when I got up to use the bathroom, reality hit. It wasn't as pristine as it was in my dream, so now I've gotta clean it. I don't have any idea what the dream was about, I just know that in my dream our bathroom was spotless!

We were gone for a week, had a great visit with my aunt, it's nice to have family a little bit close. Lovey got a tooth while we were away. I can't believe she's 6 months already. I've been pulling some of her clothes out of the closet that are too small and I remember when we got them and was excited for her to grow into them! She's so much fun now. She laughs and chatters away, squawks too. I had to leave service last night b/c I just couldn't keep her quiet any longer, she wasn't fussy... just wanted to use her voice. Of course, as soon as I got in the hallway she got all quiet and shy on me.

There's a little update for ya, I'm not in the mood to write right now, and really there isn't much to say.

Here's the kitchen!!!!

Finished enough that I'm willing to put up pictures like I promised.

I still want to paint the area under the cabinets and behind the stove, green like the walls. I wasn't sure if it would work, so I tested it on the other wall by the fridge first (you'll see it in the next picture), it works, (and I think it looks good,) so I'll do that next weekend.

Ok, so we are off to Austin for a few days!
Catch ya when we get back... I may even post pics with the girl in them!

Here's some pics of the almost finished project

So this is the new look of the front entry and hallway. I need to paint that rack thing that is in the corner of the landing... I just don't know what color yet, right now its a cherry wood finish. I'm also hanging something on the wall next to the window, I just haven't found what it is yet.

I'm not quite done w/ the kitchen, but it should be ALL finished over the weekend! The upper section of the cabinet frames and the fronts of the doors have been glazed, I need to paint and glaze the bottom section frame, doors and drawers. I'm hoping that Lovey will let me do some painting today so that I can glaze tomorrow and then on Friday we can install. All of the cabinets will need a clear protective finish, but I'm not supposed to do that until at least a week after the glazing. But I just can't live with everything all over the place anymore, so the finish will have to go on w/ all the doors hung.
