WHEW!!!

OK, I told you I was going to be gone for about a week!
I was soooo busy... the good kind of busy. We got a visit on Monday from 1/2 of the family that I used to be a nanny for in St. Louis. It's so amazing how quickly kids grow up. My little Sammykins is no longer little. But he's still my buddy! :D
Tuesday I had a dr's appt and spent some time in the hospital on some monitors b/c they thought I might be headed for some preterm labor... but nope! All is going well with baby (and mom!)
Then Wednesday we picked up some friends from the airport, they were staying w/ us til Sunday. We had such a good time! (well, I did anyway) Thursday, Becky and I went to GASC (great american scrapbook convention), *ETA: We met a friend who we have been chatting with online for over a year! It was so great to meet her in person and spend "real" time with her. V, so sorry I didn't mention this earlier... it was so great to meet w/ you and hang w/ you at convention... I'm ready for next year already... do you think we can get Becky down here again??? We spent the entire day there shopping and in 2 classes. Friday we did the touristy things, and Saturday we kinda bummed around and did a little more scrap shopping. All in all, it was a great visit, we packed in a TON of things it felt like way more than just 4 days. I'm going to try to get some pics off my camera to share w/ you guys... so give me a little time to get around to it.
I'm heading to NY next Thursday for a week, so again my blog will be going stale. Sorry about that. Soon, my life will have a ton of stuff for me to share that you guys will be sick of me I'm sure!!!
Have a wonderful day!

2 pounds and 4 ounces

That is how much they say the lil bean weighs right now. C and I went to take a look at the lil bean yesterday. Originally, this was to be our last appt w/ the perinatologist (an obstetrician specializing in focusing on problems emerging during the perinatal period) but since this whole Factor V Leiden thing he still wants to see me, which is fine cause he's a nice man and well, I like to see the kiddo in there! I was really hoping for this great shot of the lil bean, but no such luck. The kiddo was standing up in there (breech) so we didn't get a good look at all. They say that it is growing right on schedule and looking and sounding healthy.

C and I are working our way through the house getting rid of stuff that we really don't need. Trying to make room for all the stuff the lil bean is going to require. We did get paint on the walls in the living room/dining room. I totally love it!!! We also rearranged some of the furniture in those rooms and MAN! does it look so much better!

Since it isn't raining today, (finally!) I'm going out w/ a friend to take pictures of her daughter . Originally, this was for her 7th birthday... well, that was in November... so now I guess they are YAY you are out of 2nd grade pictures! :D Either way, it'll be fun b/c her daughter is such a great sport and I've never seen a sour puss on her face; plus, I could use the practice! :D

I plan to be busy for the next week... which means little blogging from me, but at least one hopefully exciting blog when the week is over! :D Have a great weekend!

Memorial Day 2007

First... thank you to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in helping to get and then maintain the freedoms that I so very much enjoy and too often take for granted! I promise to never forget that freedom isn't free.
While I myself, never officially joined the armed forces, I did go through a few years of ROTC training and then married an Air Force guy. While I may have complained about it sometimes, sometimes I actually miss being 'military'. 'Course the pay and medical care we get now is WAY better... but that's a whole other thing!
Again, to those and their families I say THANK YOU!!!

Plus we get a 3 day weekend, and while I miss the traditional Memorial Day bbq/picnic... we are working on cleaning out some 'fluff' from our home to make room for baby! But first I've gotta get C outta bed, it's 11.06AM!!!!!

~till next time, folks!

Holy cow... I am no where near being ready.

Do you see what it says up there?????
Only 99 days to go! YIKES YIKES YIKES!!!
I remember counting down for my wedding from 100 days. It really went by fast. 'Course I was working and very busy making plans and whatever... but still!!! Less than 99 days!!!!
AAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wordless wednesday??? nah!

So we had another great weekend w/ the fam! We also acquired a diaper changing table. It's sitting in my living room right now, b/c well, we still need to work in the room that will become the baby's room. Everytime I see it, it freaks me out. Totally makes it more real, I know the kicking and poking I feel inside should be pretty real, but seeing the furniture in the house, makes it seem not so far off that our lives is going to under go a dramatic change. My aunt made a roman shade for the window in the 'nursery'. We got that hung up over the weekend as well. My aunt also made this way cool quilt for the baby. I totally love it and hope that this is one of those 'blankies' that the kiddo will not be able to separate from. Like Linus from The Peanuts. Can I tell ya that my Aunt is like the most talented person I know!
*** Totally love having you in my life Aunt D!!!! You are the best!!! ***

If anyone was wondering, C did an INCREDIBLE job on Sunday night. I was blown away. He amazes me everytime I hear him speak from the pulpit. After the service, they had a reception for all the graduates in the fellowship hall, and our Pastor came up to me and said something about how great he did, so I jokingly said that I had written out every word for him. Pastor says to me, so can you do some writing for me? I said, well, I don't know, it's gonna have to cost you. He says, hey for quality like that I'm willing to pay! I just thought that was sooo nice of him to say. Then when we got home there was a voicemail message on C's cell (he had left it at home) from the Pastor just saying again what a great job he did and all that nice stuff. :D :D :D But if you see C sometime soon, ya just gotta ask him... 'boxers or briefs' :D (sorry, C just HAD to put it out there!)

Monday I had a wonderful day enjoying some retail therapy with a fantastic friend that I don't get to hang out with all that much.... I totally needed that day. I got a pair of crocs, not the ones I REALLY wanted though, b/c they didn't have them. I got the 'original' kind, (and yes, I'm still trying to get used to the ugliness of them) in navy blue (of course). I'm still on the hunt for the croc flip flops in black w/ a brown/tan middle. I may just have to order them online.
Then in the afternoon I had to go to the dr to learn how to give myself a shot in the abdomen everyday... I did it for the first time today. I chickened out yesterday. It wasn't as horrible as my head was making it, but I'm really not looking forward to doing this everyday. But at least there is an end in sight.

Yesterday, C was home so we were able to do a bunch of errands and whatnot type stuff. I had a diabetes consult... I'm doing great. :D
Today, is laundry and clean up... plus I'm hoping to get some paint on the walls in the living room, but we'll see.

ok, now for pics:
Here is the changing table, sorry it's wrapped in plastic, we bought the last one they had.

and here is the baby's quilt, it has sheep on it which is cool, kinda like a little 'sumfin' of my mom for the 'lil bean!

And finally, the roman shade. It's just way too cool and I don't think pics do it justice.

*none of these pics have been edited b/c I'm just too lazy! so suffer! :D
