I don't usually click on the blog challenges on SJ... don't know why, cause Lord knows I need some inspiration for my blog, but alas I don't USUALLY click on those threads. Well, today I did and I'm so excited b/c I love the topic and I'm gonna rattle on about it later. But here is the topic, copied directly from the thread on SJ (thanks Beth!)

ok it just might happen TONIGHT!!!!

FINALLY, dh and I have an evening to catch up on LIFE! We have been so buys for the last well, it's been about 6 weeks now. I think that I cooked on a Friday night two weeks ago tomorrow. Seriously, we have been just THAT busy. Well, tonight :gasp: keep your fingers crossed, we don't have anything on the schedule. C will come home and cut the grass and make sure there isn't any standing water around (we are trying to NOT breed mosquitoes) and then I'm going to ask him to do the blog thing with me. I know I keep making all these 'blog' promises and then I go and break them, but really this time (as far as I know) there shouldn't be anything stopping us from getting this done.

Well, I got a year older on Monday and I'm not too happy about it. I thought it would be a big deal to turn 30, but other than the emotional part about turning 30 on Mothers Day the yr after my mom died, actually turning 30 wasn't a big deal. But now when I have to say 31... it just kills me. I so don't even feel like I left my teen yrs... I was watching some kids yesterday and the daughter asked me how old I was, I told her and she said my mom is 36... you look older than her. I almost cried! Why, is getting older such a big deal to me?

I have a new addiciton besides steak buritos from Chipotle. I'm a cherry + vanilla coke addict or a cherry + lime + vanilla sprite addict (depending on the time of day).... these drinks must be purchased from Sonic and must have only a little ice (i'm addicted to the DRINK not the temp of the beverage!) I think I've had one everyday this week and at a $1.82 a pop that's not exactly cheap.

Speaking of this week, I LOVE not working!!!!!

Ok, well, if I really want to get this blog spiffed up tonight, I'd better do some housework now so I'm not stuck doing it later!

Holy cow! Look what I did, by all myself!!!!

I'm so super proud of myself!!!! I actually changed something in my blog and it worked and DH isn't even here!!!!!!!!!!!
I changed the google news and 'edit me' stuff to sites that I frequent. I figured I'd better work more on my blog now that it is getting more traffic from SJ. I can't wait for DH to get home so that he can do the header thing for me and change some fonts and what not. I can only do so much!!! lol
Well, I really had no intention of posting right now... just wanted to brag on myself a bit.

I don't know where to start!

I got back from the second most life changing weekend I've ever been on! I don't know how to describe what happened this weekend. I met some of the dearest people on this earth and they call ME a friend!
Heidi Swapp is A M A Z I N G!!!! She had me in tears! and she made me look deeper into myself. There are some steps that I need to take and I'm nervously anticipating them!
Cathy Zielske is SO much stinking fun! I wish we could be buddies! I'm seriously thinking about sending her an email. I had a revelation and I would love to share it w/her b/c I think its for her! ;) I got her book, Clean & Simple Part Deaux, it's so cool and I'm looking forward to doing some lo's about myself! :0

ok so maybe it'll happen tonight!

Well, I spoke to dh about helping me change up the look of this blog and he looked into it for me. Maybe tonight we will set it up. So I just got back from a Ladies Conference for church. It was SO AWESOME for me! I'm not usually a ladies conference kind of girl but I went anyway and it was such a huge blessing for me I'm so glad I went and I'm already making plans to go again next year.

Oh wait I don't know if I even told you.... my cell phone was stolen from me at church 2 weeks ago. I'm still soooo mad about it. And now with the expense of ladies conference, C's truck needing work, and the scrapbook event in AL and then C is going to Men's Conference in LA it doesn't look good for me to get a new phone anytime soon. We still have to buy our plane tix for NY for our trip at the end of June. And I think we have some taxes still to pay that are due at the end of May. Why wasn't I born independently wealthy???

I'm excited about the scrap event in AL soon and I'm actually in the mood to scrap. I'm also in the mood to clean my house so that's kind of weird.
